Judy Barnes Perry

Judy was born in Boonville, Mississippi on December 7, 1952 to Ella and Erret Barnes. Judy was a retired teacher from Southaven Elementary, she loved her students. She was a very loving, caring Wife, Mother, Aunt and Grandmother. She loved everyone and everyone loved her.

Judy leaves her husband of 23 years, Whit; her children, Dr. Jason Shannon and Tyler Bigham (Lindsay); step-daughter, Slate Cannon (Rob) along with her grandchildren, Sophia, Charlotte, Garrett and Samantha, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Elizabeth (Liz) Burrus and a brother, Jerry Barnes.

She will be greatly missed but we are comforted to know she is already with Our Lord in Heaven.

The family will receive friends on Thursday March 18, 2021 at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum Road, Olive Branch, Mississippi beginning at 5:30 p.m. and continue until service time. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
