Gary Lynn Howard

Gary Lynn Howard, 79, passed away on March 6, 2020. Gary was a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Mississippi and Georgia. Gary worked in the food industry, as a mechanic for heavy machinery and was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and V.P. Vaughan; father Charlie Howard; Jerry Vaughan and 7 other brothers and sisters; along with several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bettye Howard; son, Duane (Gerri) Howard of Dayton, OH; daughter, Elizabeth Osborn and sons, Kadence and Brayden Osborn of Bartlett, TN; nieces and nephews; brothers, Ted Vaughan (Peggy) and Ronny Vaughan; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He also had a special place in his heart for many animals in his life. Family will receive guests on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 2-5pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122.
