Tony III, affectionately known as Charly, was born on November 24, 1958, and entered eternal rest on December 18, 2024. Born with a transferable smile and a heart full of generosity, he touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Originally from 42 in el Capotillo in Santo Domingo,DR. Tony was the kind of person who brought warmth and joy to every room he entered. His kindness, humility, discipline, and gratitude, paired with his sense of responsibility, honesty, and courtesy, made him a model of integrity and service. He believed that life was about constant improvement and finding happiness through growth. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather brother, and friend—a compassionate soul with an unwavering belief in treating people with dignity and love.
Tony’s passions in life were as vibrant as his spirit. Whether it was his dedication to his work, his love for salsa , listening to 80’s music, watching boxing, learning new things, or simply spending time with loved ones, he poured his heart into everything he did. He cared deeply for his family and friends, always prioritizing their well-being. Tony often said, “Life is a way of constant happiness and improvement. Without continuous improvement, there is no happiness. That’s what life is about.” He believed in doing what is right as a way to progress and that everyone must live with the consequences of their actions. He believed that material well-being created opportunities for happiness, though he maintained, 'I’m not interested in making money, but it always comes as a result of success.' For him, success wasn’t about personal gain, but about being in a position to give back and help others achieve their own potential. His thoughtful reflections on life and responsibility leave a lasting legacy of wisdom and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother and brother, Luz del Carmen Tineo and Ramon Tineo, whose values of love and generosity he carried forward throughout his life.
Tony is lovingly survived by his soulmate, Martha Tineo Diaz (Morena), his devoted wife, who was his unwavering partner in life. Together, they shared a bond that was truly unbreakable—a love that grew stronger with each passing year. Martha was not only his companion, but his best friend, confidante, and greatest supporter. In every chapter of their journey, from the quiet moments of daily life to the challenges they faced together, she stood by him with an open heart and unwavering dedication. Tony’s love for her was evident in everything he did, and Martha’s love for him radiated in her care, strength, and grace. Their relationship was a beautiful testament to the power of love, partnership, and shared dreams, and she will continue to carry his memory with a heart full of love and fondness for the rest of her life.
Tony’s legacy of love, kindness, and joy lives on through his children, Arleane Tineo (Nana), Elizabeth Tineo, Cindy Tineo, Jennifer Tineo, Nairobi Tineo, Stephanie Tineo, Karina Tineo, Wilson Tineo; his cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family; countless friends and acquaintances whose lives were touched by his remarkable spirit. Each of them holds a special place in their hearts for the memories they created with him.
Tony’s family will forever remember his incredible generosity, and even though he wasn't religious, he applied the principles and beliefs in Hinduism to his life. Traits such as service, tolerance, and compassion were always evident in his lifestyle, which are core values of Hinduism. Through his actions, he proved that faith is not just about religious rituals, but about love and cooperation with others. his transmittable sense of humor, and the strength with which he faced life’s challenges. He believed in treating clients and others with respect, in punctuality as a sign of respect for others’ time, and that ultimately, life is about benefiting others. His principles, like “Trust people, but lock your car,” and “What should happen always does,” reflected a practical yet hopeful outlook on life. His love will continue to live on in their hearts, a guiding light and source of comfort.
