Era L. Pannell Raines

Era Lee Raines, 96, of Memphis, Tennessee, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. A retired sales clerk for T.G. & Y and Hancock Fabrics, the most important things in her life was her family and faith. She was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church where she was a faithful choir member until her health failed. Also choir member at Hickory Ridge Baptist & Fairlawn Baptist Church. The family will receive guests and friends on Tuesday, April 16 from five o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening. Funeral services will begin at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, April 17 with reception to follow all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. Era is preceded in death by her parents W.L. & Annie Grubbs Pannell; husband Fate Raines; sisters Flossie Mae & Ricky Hollingsworth; brothers Leo, Troy, Lindsey & Lewis Pannell. She is survived by her only son Alan Raines (Nettie) of Olive Branch; sister Kattath Hornbuckle; brothers Cecil & Jack Pannell; grandchildren Cathy Hutto, James Raines and Christopher Raines; great-grandchildren Alanna Littles and Connor Hutto.
