On June 18, 2023, Edward Lester Christoffersen passed away at the age of eighty-two, after a battle with cancer. He was married to his wife, Mary Ann, who passed last year, for sixty-two years. He is survived by three sons Douglas (m. Tracy), Timothy, and Daniel, as well as 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Edward was a devoted husband and father who started working at age 12, to support his family, and never stopped until his retirement. He always believed that hard work would yield results and achieve his goals. He worked most of his career in the appliance industry and finished as a National Manager for Ecolab, Inc. He brought up his children to embrace the same diligence, integrity, honesty, and commitments that he applied to his own work and family.
Edward loved golf and had a 2 handicap at the apex of his game. He enjoyed his memberships at Southwind and Windyke and often played all over the country while exploring the U.S. He also loved to travel overseas and had a deep love of history. His travels took him and his wife to the European countries of Turkey and Russia.
Most of all, Edward enjoyed seeing his family grow, playing golf with his children and grandchildren, and rooting for the Buckeyes with his entire family surrounding him!
At his request, we will hold a small celebration of life with his immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Ed to The American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a cancer center near you.
