Mr. Nielsen is survived by his daughter, Karen Nielsen of Memphis; sons, Mark Warren Nielsen of Colorado, Randy Earl Nielsen (Lyn) of Texas; sisters, Alice Cowley, Charlotte Coleman, Mary Brunker; brother, Richard Nielsen; five grandchildren and three great grandchidlren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vernie Nielsen; his loving wife, Mary Ann Nielsen; sister, Esther Stahl and his brother, Chuck Nielsen.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 12:30 pm at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene, Memphis, TN 38125.
