Dorothy Marie Mason

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Denegri Mason announce that she died peacefully on December 16, 2024. Dorothy, or Dot to her family, will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Jean Longhill, of Greenville, NC, Pat Spanier (Mike), of Palm Desert, CA, Judy Deming (John) and Kathy Sesti of Memphis, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Michael J. Denegri, Sr. and Mary Sheehan Denegri, brother Michael J. Denegri, Jr., sister Gloria Bernadini, and husbands Edgar H. Scharf (1958), Frank J. Carimi (1980), and Thomas A. Mason (2010).

Dorothy was born in Memphis on October 1, 1924. She was a long-time supporter of the Sisters of the Poor Clares and St. Anne Catholic Church. She was a former President of the Ave Maria Guild and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Council and a proud member of Madonna Circle and Cotton Carnival- Sphinx.

The Denegri Family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church on Highland from 1-2pm for a viewing and rosary followed by a Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Park South Woods.
