Dorothy Walker Henderson, 87, of Memphis, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Lakeland, TN. Mrs. Henderson was born in Adamsville, TN and was a member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Memphis, where she worked with the Girl Scouts as a Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Henderson, as well as her parents, J.A. and Annie Walker. Mrs. Henderson is survived by two daughters, Patricia Johnson (Gerald) and Cathy Zelinski (Steve), one brother, Jack Walker (Kelley), four grandchildren, Gerry Johnson (Beverly), Lee Ann Dill (Shawn), Steven Zelinski (Billie), and Dawn Stanford (Jamey), as well as seven great-grandchildren, Spencer Johnson, Megan Johnson, Logan Dill, Kaela Dill, Alex Zelinski, Brittany McDonald, and Brandon McDonald. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5-7pm and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2pm, all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis.
