David Milo Kelly, 80, of Memphis, passed away on September 2, 2017, at his home. Born on August 31, 1937 in Memphis, to the late Ellie D. and Elizabeth Guy Kelly, David attended Garden Elementary School and graduated from Humes High School. He worked for E.L. Bruce, Rayovac, Holiday Press, and retired from St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Kelly was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bartlett. David loved to travel and explore new places. He enjoyed meeting people and could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He also enjoyed music and playing the piano. David is survived by his sister, Ann Kelly Wooten; two nephews, Keith H. Wooten of Asheville, NC and David W. Wooten of Memphis; his niece, Karen J. Wooten Riley of Memphis. He was preceded by his faithful companion, Trixie. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, between 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery on Elvis Presley Blvd. In lieu of flowers, lasting memorials may be sent to the SPCA of Tennessee or Calvary Baptist Church, 6252 Memphis Arlington Rd., Bartlett, TN 38135.
