Brian and the whole family hold a significant position in my life as well as the others in our Chang-Moo-Kwan family. Notice I say " family " and not school. That is because we trained, laughed, cried, and moved as a family. I am 29 years old and going on 30 pretty soon and it has been so long that it is easier to just say I can't remember a time when Brian wasn't a part of my life. We all got older and naturally moved on to do different things with our lives, but I get asked all the time by friends of mine about what it was like training and competing back in those days. My answer always goes back to talking about our old team from back then. I would and still do brag about how talented and persistent everyone was. Brian was always included in those conversations. Almost every time I would go to visit my mom and dad, I would ask them if they have talked to anyone recently. It was my way of keeping tabs on everyone and making sure everyone was and is ok and doing well. I am so proud to call Brian a student, a Chang-Moo-Kwan champion, a little brother, and a friend.

We met Brian and Brittney when my daughter Mina and little brother Jr. joined tae Kwon do. I can’t say thank you enough to the both of you and your mom for the kindness you have shown the kids and our family. I will never forgot our Vegas tournament days where Brian and Brittney showed support and helped us get through tournaments. Tamara I can not imagine what you and your family are going through right now. Our family send our condolences and prayers during this tough time. We love you guys and Brian will always be in our memories.

my name is Darrell Collins..Brian is my second son. when he was in California he was a big part of my martial arts team. We accomplished so much together we competed with people from all over the world. He is such a great kid that I will think of and cherish every day. Tamara I love you this is so hard for me I can't imagine what you're going through.

Growing up I would go over to my step parents house and play with Britney and Brian, Brian would always make up fun games. I remember they had a trampoline and as a kid I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Brian or Britney tied a rope to the tree like a swing and I was in awe. I had to swing on it. I remember him being just a little hesitant to let me swing on it at first because he thought I would get hurt but I insisted and if I got hurt we would tell my Dad it was my idea. 

I Also remember the first time I went to high school with Brian I was a freshman and he was a junior. This was a sweet and bitter  moment for me because it's like oh cool you’re going to school with your brother but then it's like oh No  you’re going to school with your brother!! Definitely not getting a boyfriend, Brian was a popular kid at school, so I thought any info he could get on me would be sent back to the authorities…. AKA my Dad and Tamera. 

When I went to my first high school dance Brian asked if I needed anything and bought me food. I could just think of many memories in my life where  Brian treated me like a little sister even if we aren’t blood. I miss Brian, and I wish I could steal him from the other side and bring him back. I understand dying is a part of life and we are all going to die one day, It's already been written.  I’m honored that I had my childhood with him and growing years. 

Good and meaningful memories are delightful gifts, your brain is a biological video camera, it captures these moments and stores them in a precious memory chest any time you can open the chest, choose a memory and replay the captured piece of time.

He was a great athlete and an extremely fun competitor - you were really glad when he was on your team; and, knew you would have to work hard and be prepared for some trash talk when he was on another team!

It was team day and Brian was excited to bring us here called Restaurant. We were a bit confused asking him what was the restaurant called? and he kept saying, “Restaurant” Lol

I know Jenkins from when he was serving in the Army at FortHood Texas.  My daughter Makayla also served in FortHood.  There was a time while serving in the army she was facing a really hard time and some challenges.  I prayed to God to release the angels from heaven to protect her and comfort her.  I believe Jenkins was one of the angels that God placed in her life.  Jenkins shared the word of God with her, encouraged her and he was a true friend.    I will never forget his beautiful smile and what a joy it was to spend time with him in Texas. The world has taken your most precious love, and my heart is breaking for you. The phrase "there are no words" seems like the only thing that fits right now. I cannot fathom what you are going through. I'm praying that hope and comfort flood your life during this dark time. We are praying for you and will always be here to support you.

I was in twelfth night with Brian and he was such a light and leader in our cast. Always getting everyone excited, staying positive on a rough rehearsal day, leading us in a prayer circle before shows, and just being a good friend to everyone. We had such a wide range of ages, backgrounds, etc in this cast and he really helped us all come together. I was so glad to share many of my scenes with him. I’m happy that I gained a friend in Brian.

Hey lil Cousin It saddens my Heart that ur gone so soon just know I truly miss u and so does everyone else! I remember when I came to spend some time with y'all in San Bernardino how I use to be scared of Casper and I would always tell you to get him all you and Britt was cracking up laughing saying he isn't going to hurt you! Auntie would tell you to go put him in the back lol.  Tell all the wonderful angels in our family hello for me.

Our deepest condolences in the loss of Brian. No words will ease the pain of your loss, but pray will bring some comfort. Brian had fun in karate class.  The younger students enjoyed being around him. We saw the tortilla challenge with Chandler and that, I'm sure, is one of so many memories of laughter.  May those memories carry you on this next journey.

Brian was a beautiful soul. It was a joy to be in his presence. He attended our church and Bible study while living here in California. When he would attend church on First Sunday and I always made homemade unleavened bread and he loved it so much that he wanted to eat the whole pan! I will think of you Brian every time I make unleavened bread.

I remember when you climbed trees with hair braided as young child. Then to see grow into such wonderful young man was everything to me. I miss you!

I’m so proud of you graduating from High School.

I miss you so much. We had such good times together like this picture shows. We are playing games and eating Christmas Eve.

I was in Twelfth Night with Brian, and he represented everything I love about theatre. I remember from the first rehearsal backstage that he broke the ice and made me feel like we were going to be friends. I think he made everyone in our cast feel the exact same way. I will miss him very much, but will remember how welcoming he was and try to keep his positive energy in my life.

Not one person can compare to this wonderful man. I was blessed to have you as my friend and blessed to have you in my heart. I love you ♥️

Brian was my student. He had a reputation for being kind and a friend to all.   He was considerate and loved his momma. One of my favorite memories of Brian was when he organized an event for one of our special needs students to score a touchdown during a football game. The student was a huge football fan and it meant the world to him to be able to get on the field. Brian organized this because all people mattered to him. He wanted everyone to be happy and feel involved.  He will always be missed. We are praying for his family.

Brian I will always cherish our friendship. You made a huge impact on my life and for that I thank you. I was hoping to get old one day and only then you could call me old. Instead I can look up to the sky and understand you are at peace. We all love you so much (power rangers) you know how we do!  Love you and we will continue to be here for your family in any way possible.
