Billie Ann Cunningham, age 75, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Billie was born December 21, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee to William McKendree McCalman and Mable Frances Hilliard.
She graduated from Central High School and University of Memphis (Memphis State). Billie Ann was a lifetime member of Rebecca Memorial United Methodist Church. She taught school for 11 years at Oakhaven United Methodist Church Preschool. She grew up singing with her family and was a member of the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and oldest sister, Mary Frances Burchum. Billie Ann is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Cunningham; sons, Matt Cunningham (Ashley) and Will Cunningham; grandsons, Logan and Lucas Cunningham. She is also survived by her sister, Jareda Johnson (Gene).
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Sunday, July 31 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. Graveside services will be held on the following Monday, at 10:00 AM, at the historic Stephenson Chapel Cemetery, 4350 Highway 61 South, Memphis, Tennessee 38109.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request memorials be sent to Alzheimer's Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, P.O. Box 1950, Clarksburg, Maryland 20871-1950.
