I am really saddened at the loss of Marlene and my heartfelt sympathies go out to her family. I worked with Marlene for several years and she was incredibly engaging and always selfless and ready with a smile when people around her needed it.

Hi,  I had the pleasure to work with Marlene at Selective HR Solutions and we developed an instant friendship. She would light up a room with her personality and smile.  She enjoyed HR and she was admired by her co-workers and clients.   During our time at SHRS, she talked about her dogs, family, and how ESPN was practically the only station they watched on TV at their house.  After I left SHRS, we would meet for lunch when our schedules allowed.  We both became Mothers near the same time and shared all our pregnancy and motherhood stories together.  

Her family meant everything to her (God as well) and she beamed with joy whenever she talked about them.  I also remember her sharing with me so much about her Mother.   All the advice, memories, and traditions they shared along with many other special bonds.  

I was shocked and saddened when I got the news of her passing and still am.  In my opinion, she was taken too soon and my heart aches tremendously for Chris, Brooke, & Brianna. I pray for peace, strength, and comfort for each of them during this difficult time.  I pray for Chris to know how much she loved him and adored being his wife/best friend sharing life together.  I also pray for her daughters to know how much she cherished them both and was so proud of them.  She talked endlessly about them to me whenever we got together.  She was a wonderful wife and mother that I know everyone can attest to. 

 She was beautiful inside and out and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  The last time we chatted, only a few months ago, we were trying to plan another lunch as too much time had gone by.  But now I'll have to wait for that lunch when we meet again in heaven.  Until then I'll cherish our friendship and all the good times, memories, and conversations we had together.  Another angel has gotten her wings and will be watching over us all.

We think of AlphaStaff as family.  They support our people, our business, and care about how we are doing in our day-to-day.  We just wanted to share our condolences with Marlene's family, as well as her work family.  We know her friendship with her co-workers was a great one. Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am to learn of Marlene's passing. She was not only a co-worker, she was my friend and work travel buddy. She lit up a room every time she arrived. We shared a lot of laughs and tears as she helped me struggle through a work life balance issue when my mom was sick with Covid. My condolences to her family who she spoke about daily. She loved you all so much. I will miss seeing her beautiful smile and laugh and am sad that we will never get to see her on Zoom in front of that beautiful dresser with the amazingly tall vase. That is my last memory of her and I will think of her and smile.
She will forever live on in my heart and memory. 

Its sad to know about Marlene. Although I never got a chance to meet her in person, but she was passionate about her work and ensured things were dealt fairly.

It's truly been hard for me to think about posting anything here up to this point but I just want Marlene's family to know that she was loved! She was my co-worker for many years but she was also my friend for many years and I will miss her.  Marlene, thanks for all the memories and when I think of you, it'll always bring a smile to my face.  

We're in complete disbelief to hear of Marlene's passing. She was beautiful inside and out. While we hadn't seen each other in awhile, there isn't a time we can recall of her not smiling and laughing. A favorite memory would be a Christmas party many years ago at the house in Creekwood.  What a white elephant gift exchange! So much fun & laughter. And Macy and Molson greeting everyone. In the blink of an eye we all went from having lots free time to running around with kids and  their practices. She will be  Best remembered as being a Beautiful and Loving Wife, Mom, Daughter and friend. And, her presence will be missed by many. Our deepest condolences to Chris, Brooke, Brianna and her extended family.

Marlene was such a fun, witty, and wonderful person.  I’m so sorry to hear of her passing.  I enjoyed working with her, sharing salads at lunch while we joked and laughed out loud.  She absolutely exuded joy and she will be missed by so many people.  My deepest condolences to her husband and daughters.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this memory but I am also comforted by the fact that it is not matter of if but when we will all have the opportunity to see Marlene again.   We are all given the gift of life to which Marlene used that gift to help others in everything she did.    She was beloved friend and co-worker. She always gave 100% of herself and had the unique ability to see the good in everything and everyone.    The positive impact she has had on others as she managed through her life's journey is something that will live on through others.   

Once we have completed God's work we are then called to heaven.   Even though we all know that Marlene was called too early, the work she did was truly amazing.  The world is now a better place for many because of Marlene.   

My sincere condolences to her husband Chris and two daughters, Brooke and Brianna.

Marlene was an amazing leader and her personality lit up a room. Over the last few months, we had grown a lot closer as she had helped me and mentored me taking on a new position at work. She was beautiful, sweet and full of energy. She had amazing patience and was always so kind. My heart aches for her family & I sent lots of light and love to all that have been affected by this loss. Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel ever and she will forever be remembered ❤️ 🙏🏼 👼

Heaven gained another precious angel. Marlene touched us all in the most beautiful way in and will be deeply missed. Her infectious smile and laughter is what will always remain forever in our hearts. She was truly an inspiring mother, wife, and friend. To the Gore family- I am sending you so much love and my prayers are going up for you all.  I am so heartbroken at the loss of Marlene, such an amazing person, wife, mother, and friend. I had the honor to call her boss and work with her at Alphastaff. She was the best boss I’ve ever had- she made me feel that nothing was ever too big or too small to bring to her and  whatever was happening in my own life, in my own sphere, mattered to her. I was not just another employee or the last one hired on the team, but a valued, important member of our Alphastaff family, and a friend. I am so grateful for the time I had with her, I admired her so much. Always so positive, always smiling and always ready to laugh. She was so giving of herself to our team. Her family meant everything to her and she was so proud of you. My heart goes out to you and words fail to express my deep sorrow for your loss...

Marlene was an amazing mentor, manager, and friend. She always had a kind word and warm smile for everyone she dealt with. My heart breaks for her daughters, husband and family, as well as her AlphaStaff family. May she forever Rest In Peace and no longer know pain. 

My prayers, thoughts, love and condolences seem inadequate but I send all to Marlene's family, friends, employees and loved ones.  I met Marlene in 2011 as a coworker and was immediately drawn to her spunkiness, spirit and can-do attitude.  A few years later, she was promoted to my manager and ended up being the best boss I have ever worked for in all of my 40+ years of working.  Her kind soul, contagious joy, easy laughter, grace, fairness, perseverance, patience, kindness, humor, dedication and leadership will be deeply missed.  She touched so many lives and gave so much of herself to all of us. I am grateful to have known her in this life and look forward to seeing her again in the next.  May God bless all who loved Marlene with His comfort and peace.

While you have lost a dear wife, mother, daughter and sibling, Heaven gained its most gracious Angel. Marlene was not only our director – she was a champion in every way she carried herself.  She was a woman who immensely loved the Lord, her husband, and young daughters.  She often spoke of her family and shared beautiful memories of them with me.
Oh, sometimes I wondered if Marlene knew how beautiful a person she was inside and out.  I cannot find the right words to express to her family and the AlphaStaff family how deeply sadden I am for our great loss.  I keep thinking about her… her smile, unique giggles, strength, and humility.  Marlene expected much from our team because she unapologetically believed in us, and for that, I will always be grateful to have known her.
I will keep Marlene in my heart always… I will remember her as a masterpiece of nature and a champion for the lives she cared for, guided, and loved… and our often talks about the Lord.  (RIPP – Rest in perfect peace, Marlene).


Dear Chris, Brooke & Brianna,

I have no words for the shock and sadness learning of your beautiful wife and mom's passing.  As you know, she was such an amazing person all around and the minute I connected with her when Ava and Brooke were in competitive cheer together, we immediately hit it off and I adored her since that day.   We had some funny secrets with each other and my only regret is that we didn't get together more once the girls went to high school and off their own ways.  

I will miss her so much.  She was way too young, but I believe God has a plan for us and we have to have faith in him.  Please know if there is anything we can do, bring dinner, share stories, etc...we are here for you - we are all so sad for your loss.  You have an amazing family and there is no doubt she would want for you all to grieve and celebrate her in a happy way.
