BARBARA JOHNSON, 93, formerly of Memphis, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011. She worked for U.T. College of Dentistry until retiring to Coffeeville, MS where she was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved and appreciated everything God created. Her main interests were her family, friends, gardening, saving unwanted animals and raising exotic birds. She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Johnson. She leaves her daughter, Barbara Bolgeo Vandemark and son-in-law, Richard Vandemark of Memphis, and stepson and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson of Weatherford, TX. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Her enduring legacy to each one was her tremendous love of life. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 12:30-2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Ave, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday, also at the funeral home.
