Adriana Cornelia Bailey was born in Nieuw-Vossemeer, Netherlands, on August 7, 1937 the daughter of the late Adrianus and Cornelia Van Geel. She passed away peacefully on February 25, 2021 in Memphis, Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Jimmie Bailey, her two daughters Sandra Bailey and Monique Bailey (Shane), her granddaughter Caitlyn Medina (Carlos), her great grand-daughter Juno Marie Medina, and two brothers.
Mrs. Bailey was an avid bowler throughout her life, a proud ARMY wife, two-time cancer survivor, and spent her days as a seamstress and homemaker for her family. She took pleasure in gardening and flowers, and never found a plant she couldn’t keep alive. She truly enjoyed nothing more than taking care of and spending time with her family eating together, laughing, and playing games. Adriana was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend to all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on March 2, 2021 from 1:00-2:00pm with Funeral Service at 2:00pm at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis TN. Committal Service will be held on March 5, 2021 at 9:30am at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 400 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN.
