Frank Deane Roberts

A loving husband and a caring dad, Frank Deane Roberts made memories like a weaver creating a tapestry; bringing together people and moments, capturing life in the lens of his camera as well as the hearts of those blessed to experience those moments with him.

Frank was born in Caldwell, Idaho on February 27,1947 to Deane and Ardys Roberts. He grew up in Central Point, Oregon with his older sister, Joyce and his two younger sisters Shirley and Joanne. After graduating from George Fox University he made his way to the Pacific Northwest where he had a career at the phone company while pursuing travel adventures with his wife, Sandy and helping to raise his daughters, Megan, Lindsay, Jocelyn and Annie. He eventually made his way back to the Rogue Valley, settling into life at the Rogue Valley Manor in Medford, Oregon.

Frank had the gift of seeing the beauty of small spaces of time and drawing them out through the lens of his camera, reproducing the magic of a wave violently greeting the shore or a freshly opened bloom bathing in the morning dew. He captured his grandchildren learning to love life, his siblings having fun together and his wife laughing as she followed him around the world all in the swift click of the shutter.

Frank walked through life with intention, always knowing where he would place his next step. He walked with integrity and purpose and his greatest joy was to share his walk with those he loved. His walk with us here is done and his footprints now head further up and further in.

There will be a memorial service to honor Frank's life on July 9th, 2022 at Rogue Valley Fellowship's Ivy St. Chapel at 2pm. Donations in Frank's memory can be made to The Rogue Valley Manor Foundation, Christian Relief Fund or Crater Foundation.
