Virginia, where he majored in Marketing. After graduation, he started his career at WVIR TV
Channel 29 in Charlottesville, VA, to pursue his love of sports and videography. There he met his future
wife, Karen. The couple moved to Richmond, VA, where they married in 1995 and started their family.
Scott worked for the Richmond Braves, which soon led to a lifelong career at Richmond Sports Backers.
Scott—known for his kindness, hard work, and keen sense of humor—was a UVA superfan, Billy Joel
aficionado, enthusiastic gardener, half-marathoner, and advocate for active living in the Richmond
community.
His greatest love was for his family. He especially enjoyed attending his daughter Erin’s ice skating
performances, watching classic movies with his son Michael, and traveling with his entire family.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Karl Manfred Schricker. He is survived by his loving wife,
Karen, their two children, Erin and Michael, his mother Annaliesa Chas, step-father Gustave Chas,
