Ralph was the last of ten children and was preceded in death by his loving parents, Elwood and Ethel Lee, and nine brothers and sisters.
A hardworking and dedicated pressman, Ralph spent his career at Commonwealth Mailing. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, including active duty during the Korean War. A man of faith, Ralph found strength and comfort in his beliefs throughout his life.
Ralph had a passion for building street rods, a hobby that showcased his craftsmanship and love for classic cars.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Betty Lee; children, Christopher Lee, Sr., and Melissa J Francis; grandchildren, Christopher S. Lee, Jr., Hunter J. Lee, Trevor T. Lee, Stephen B. Gilmer, Jr., and Magen M. Francis; and great-grandchildren, Madden Lee, Sawyer Lee, and Banks Lee who brought him endless happiness and pride.
The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Woody Funeral Home – Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116. A graveside service to honor Ralph’s life will be held at 1pm on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA 23150.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation in Ralph’s memory.
