Because she started life with many health problems, she lived her life with the motto “Never give up!” She went on to marry twice and have 6 children (all boys) by tapping into that same strength. She enjoyed camping with her family, as well as visits to the botanical gardens where she learned about plants and fostered her love for flowers. She loved old country music and to sing along with the radio: “there are angels among us, from somewhere up above”. She passed time crocheting small blankets, which she donated to local nursing homes/shelters and shared with family and friends. She was an avid reader and worked on word puzzles to help keep her mind sharp. She had a fascination with clocks; finding their tick calming. Her collection ranged from small cuckoo clocks, to grand pendulums. Having always lived near a body of water, she loved the beach and the sound of water crashing against the shore. Her love of lighthouses had her traveling to explore as many as possible. Because of her husband and children, she was a true Alabama fan…“Roll Tide”. She loved watching football games and competing with her grandchildren who are Florida State Alum “How about them Noles Nana?” She will be greatly missed!
