Janice Ann Russell

Janice Ann Russell passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones January 18th 2024. Janice was born August 15, 1938 to Emma and Armand St. Arnauld in Fall River Massachusetts. She grew up in Fall River until she was a teenager with her two brothers and four sisters. Janice loved life. She was a wonderful mother and friend. Jan had a great sense of humor, sharp wit, and was known to be quite feisty despite being 5’2 inches tall. She moved to Connecticut where she caught the eye of Carlton James Russell. It was love at first sight for both. This led to many dates and dances. After he won her heart, they were married and truly devoted to each other for over 54 years. They resided in Southington Connecticut, where they raised their family. Upon retirement, Carl and Jan moved to Ft. Myers Florida where they enjoyed the sun, beaches and spending time with their grandchildren. Janice was a doer, a wiz with numbers, an avid bowler, loved puzzles and bingo! There were many evenings filled with family, games and laughter. One of her favorite activities was playing cards with her devoted group of friends for over 50 years. She was predeceased by her husband Carl, siblings Peachie, Flo, Madeline, Carol, and Armand. Janice is survived by her children Carl Russell Jr. (Ann), Mark Russell (Cheryl) and Brenda Russell (Rick), grandchildren Stacey Russell, Ian Russell (Amy), Jillian Russell (Chris), Dillon Kenniston (Emily), Bryana Russell, CJ Russell, and her 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ron St. Arnauld (Pat), and sister-in-law Diane St. Arnauld and numerous nieces and nephews. Janice leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom and generosity. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Information of services to be announced.
