He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Smith and his parents, Cora West Smith and Willie Clifton Smith.
Frank is survived by his children, Clifton Smith, Virginia Hall (Dale), Debbie Breedlove, and Eddie Smith (Tammy); grandchildren, Bud Hall (Kristin), Niki Eheart (Matthew), Amber Beatson (Cam), and Brittany Walshaw (Randy); 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Hott.
He retired after many years of dedicated service with the City of Richmond Utilities, where he earned the nickname “Speedy”.
In his younger years, Frank found joy working on cars. He also took great pride in maintaining his yard, he always made sure it was in perfect shape. He also lovingly cared for his Dogwood and Crepe Myrtle trees.
Frank had a beloved cat named Rambo, who brought him endless companionship. But above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his great-grandchildren, who he loved to pieces.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
