Allen "Buck" H. Kelly, Jr.

Allen "Buck" H. Kelly, Jr., 87, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Kelly, Sr.; mother, Lucille Kelly; and sister, Hazel Haynes. Buck retired from William Byrd Press and was a member of Shalom Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from March 1955 to February 1959 as a Gunners Mate 3 on the U.S.S. William M. Wood. Buck loved to travel and enjoyed watching golf and stock car racing. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jerry Kelly; children, Michael Kelly (Ann), Robin Bolas (Jeff); grandchildren, Joseph and Katharine Kelly, Jennifer Powell, Adam Bolas, Kaitlyn and Matthew Bolas; and great grandchildren, Jace, Lily, Ainsley. A celebration of Buck's life will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Shalom Baptist Church, 8116 Walnut Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
