James A. Anderson of Crawford died Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Waco at the age of 88.
Mr. Anderson was born on January 17, 1936 in Crawford, Texas, the son of R. A. "Speedy" Anderson and Minnie Virginia (Schandler) Anderson. He was a 1954 graduate of Crawford High School and earned a teaching degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. James taught middle and high school science in Lewisville and Conroe for many years, as well as teaching with Job Corps in the summers. He retired to manage the family ranch in Crawford, Texas.
Survivors include a sister, Linda Kay (Anderson) Talbert and her husband Randy of Crawford; a nephew, Jason Talbert of Austin, Texas; a niece, Tiffany (Talbert) Flanigan and her husband Shannon of College Station; a great niece Lindsay Flanigan of Waco; a great nephew Sean Flanigan of College Station; and a great niece Laura Kate Flanigan of College Station, Texas.
A private memorial service with his family was held in his honor.
