Edwin Russell "Rusty" Pace III

Edwin Russell “Rusty” Pace III, age 74, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Cole Funeral Home.

Rusty was born on September 16, 1947 to Edwin Russell Pace, Jr. and Helen (Powell) Pace in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Kimball High School in Dallas, Texas in 1965. Rusty served in the United States Navy from 1967-1969. He worked as a printer for Bowne and lastly for the Federal Reserve.

He married the love of his life, Talitha Jane Avance on May 2, 1976 on a fishing boat in the Gulf near Port Aransas, Texas. They celebrated 45 years together. He has lived in McGregor since 2008. Prior to living in McGregor, they lived in Shady Shores, Texas. Rusty enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Pace of McGregor, Texas, brother, John Pace and wife, Donna of Sugar Land, Texas; nephew, Dixion Pace of Muldoon, Texas, niece, Robyn Pace of Rosenberg, Texas, great-nephew, Raylan Pace of Muldoon, Texas; a cousin, David Powell, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
