Mrs. Dora Washington, 98 of McGregor, passed from this life on Friday, April 15, 2022. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Cole Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022 in McGregor Cemetery with Minister Lawrence Finley officiating.

Mrs. Dora Washington was born June 26, 1923 in Cheyenne, WY, the daughter of the late Miles and Beatrice Wilson.

Mrs. Dora Washington was actively involved in the VFW Ladies Aux. #2148 in Waco, DAV Ladies Aux. LGW Lawrence, 3 American Legion Aux. #121, She was also a member of the Jericho Chapter No. 12 since June 5, 1974. She was also a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, McGregor. Mrs. Dora Washington enjoyed meeting people, spending time with her family, playing cards, and bingo. Mrs. Dora Washington married the late William Berry Washington on November 19, 1953 on Mineral Wells, TX.

Survivors include sons Ronald B. Washington of Crescent City, Calif., William C. and wife Winona Washington of Bethany, OK. Granddaughter Heather L. and husband Kevin Calhoun of OKC, OK. Great grandchildren Bradley C., Haley L. VanHoutan and Magdalena Lee Rose Calhoun all of OKC and a host of extended family.
