Mrs. Cunningham was born September 25, 1929, in Landshut, Germany, the daughter of the late Vitus and Anna Marie (Erlacher) Zuhr. She received her primary education and attended a business school in Germany. On May 17, 1951, she married Buford Cunningham in Germany and moved to the United States that same year. Throughout her life, she enjoyed flower gardening, roses, crocheting, baking and cooking. It has been said that she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Gustav Preiss and Josef Preiss.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Buford Cunningham; four daughters, Mary Louise Hamilton and husband James of Moody, Patricia Ann Altman and husband William of Dothan, Alabama, Ramona Lynn Skates and husband Troy of Elgin, Anita Theresa Baker and husband Joe of Bayview; a half sister, Martha Preiss of Landshut, Germany; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
