Tommie S Hammock

Tommie S. Hammock, 84, of Canton, GA, passed away on October 18, 2024. Born in Lexington, Georgia, she was the daughter of Hubert and Lucile Smith. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Jimmy H. Hammock Sr., her cherished daughter Lucile "Luci" Hammock, and her sisters Jackie Roberts and Vivian Ragonesi.

Mrs. Hammock is survived by her sons: Jimmy Harris (Caryl) Hammock Jr., Randall Ford (Lura) Hammock, Ronald Carson (Regina) Hammock, and Daniel Thomas (Katherine C.) Hammock. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jessica Caryl (Kyle) Martell, Matthew Patrick (Rebecca) Thompson, Sean Michael Hammock, Luke Colville (Katherine E.) Hammock, James Carson Hammock, David Harris Hammock, Mark Bridges Hammock, and Sara Beth Hammock. Her great-grandchildren include Hailey Thompson, Andrew Thompson, McKenzie Martell, Lucy Hammock, Jackson Martell, Nellie Hammock, Eli Hammock, and Franklin Hammock. Mrs. Hammock is also fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Tommie was a faithful member of Stockbridge United Methodist church. She retired from Henry County Schools transportation but found her greatest joy in raising and nurturing her family. She loved camping and other family activities. Tommie also enjoyed cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide football.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA, with Rev. Dr. Jody Ray officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours before the service.
