Becky Stonecypher, age 88, longtime resident of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. She was born in McDonough on July 21, 1934 to the late William and Ida Crumbley. Becky was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Stonecypher, five sisters and five brothers. Gran, Miss Becky, loved to have fun and enjoy all the time with her large family. She was a great cook, loved to shop, avid crafter, enjoyed word search puzzles and magazines. She loved Shingleroof Camp meetings and family vacations to the beach. Becky was a great story teller and she loved children and watching them learn and grow. She was the youngest of eleven children and graduated from McDonough High School in 1952. She owned Miss Becky's In Home Day Care for 40 years and was a lifetime member of Salem Baptist Church and enjoyed all Young at Heart church gatherings and trips. She is survived by her children, Jeffery Scott Stonecypher of McDonough, Tami S. (Larry) Weaver of Monticello and Julie S. (Michael) Standard of Jackson. Three grandchildren, Carly S. (Caleb) Boggess, Sydney S. (Jacob) Swords and Tyler J. Standard, three great grandchildren, Carce and Lawson Boggess and Owen Swords and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA and also from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at the church on Saturday. Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Salem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
