Nancy Field Abbott

Ms. Nancy Field Abbott, age 72 of McDonough, Georgia passed away November 16, 2017. She was born in Brazil to the late Howard Myers and Mabel Hatton Field. She was preceded in death by a special cousin, Ruth Lack. Nancy was a teacher in Henry County for 46 years and was a member of the McDonough First United Methodist Church. She loved to spend time with her daughters and grandchildren. Nancy enjoyed traveling and family time in Michigan. Survivors include her daughters, Lane (Kelly) Holmes of Monticello and Traci (Todd) Kalish of Midland; grandchildren, Shannon, Jessie, Carter, Tek, Addy-Lee, Briggs and LiLi; special cousins, Helen Fox of Michigan, Leigh Ferenci of Michigan and John Field of Texas. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 – 12:00 PM at the McDonough First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:30 – 11:30 AM prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Nancy.
