Misti needed no introduction. Her bubbly, energetic, and sassy personality lit up every room she entered. She had a magnetic presence that drew people to her and a kindhearted soul that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A devoted wife, Misti loved her husband Calvin since she was sixteen years old. He adored her laugh, her smile, and her heartwarming spirit. Calvin was her steadfast protector and honored their vows, caring for her until her final moments.
As a mother, Misti’s love for her children was unparalleled. She devoted herself to ensuring they always felt loved, safe, and supported. She went above and beyond to protect their happiness and was their constant source of strength and encouragement.
In her final years, Misti embraced her role as “Nanny” to her little ray of sunshine, Cain. She delighted in cuddling with him, sharing funny videos, and creating sweet memories that will forever be cherished.
Misti found purpose and fulfillment in her career as a practice manager at Dr. Kaigler’s MD office, where she was known for her warmth and compassion. She deeply valued her patients and colleagues, whom she fondly referred to as her “girls.” Reunited now with her best friend, Tonia, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication.
A true fashionista, Misti was always impeccably dressed, with flawless hair, makeup, and a signature scent of Paloma Picasso perfume. Yet she equally loved her cozy moments in matching pajamas, soft blankets, and her beloved “mopping socks.”
Misti’s love for life was reflected in her favorite pastimes. She adored sitting on the beach with her feet in the sand, basking in the sunshine, and proudly comparing her tan with others. Her home and backyard, lovingly created with her husband, were her sanctuary. She cherished evenings on her patio, surrounded by flowers, hummingbirds, and butterflies, with a glass of wine and classic rock from 97.1 The River playing in the background.
Brave, strong, and resilient, Misti faced her battle with cancer with courage and grace, inspiring everyone around her. Even in her most challenging moments, her love and compassion for others never wavered.
Misti passed peacefully at home, her happy place, with her family by her side. She transitioned to heaven to be with Jesus, ready and at peace, as she had lovingly assured her family.
Her soul radiated warmth, love, and compassion. Misti’s memory will forever be treasured by her family, friends, patients, and all who were fortunate to know her.
