LaNeva Carol Turner was born May 6, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia at Emory University Hospital. LaNeva was the only child of the late Evelyn Pauline Moore and Edgar Roy Moore of East Point, Georgia who then later moved to Forest Park.
At the young age of 19, LaNeva married her high school sweetheart, Steve Bradford Turner, on July 1, 1966 in Forest Park, Georgia. The two navigated life while Steve served overseas in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and later welcomed to the world their only child, Kellie Turner Simpson on August 26, 1970.
LaNeva was later upgraded to “Bebe” when her first granddaughter, Savannah, was born in 2000 and later Emily in 2003. After retiring as a paraprofessional, Bebe loved nothing more than spending time with her family, going on shopping adventures, and taking trips to Panama City Beach.
Every Thursday at 2:30 pm, you would catch Bebe on the way to the hair salon and at Ola High School every Friday to cheer on the Mustangs. She loved a cold Diet Coke, Days of Our Lives, and a good and ripe tomato.
On October 16, 2024, Bebe, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was called to glory. Bebe is completely healed and walking with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…and Elvis. Bebe is survived by her husband Steve Turner, daughter Kellie (David) Simpson, and granddaughters, Savannah (Bryce) White and Emily. She is loved by many cousins and close family friends.
Flowers are appreciated or you may make a contribution to Guiding Light Hospice at 157 Burke St., Suite 110, Stockbridge, GA 30281 in memory of Bebe.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home with a funeral service being held Monday, October 21, 2024 at 3:30 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel.
