John Allen Taylor

Mr. John Allen Taylor, age 73 of McDonough, Georgia passed away January 26, 2017. He was born in Hodges, SC to the late William Henry and Mammie Elizabeth Hill Taylor. He was preceded in death by siblings, Bill Taylor, Susan Hogan, Estelle Wright and Clara Wright and by a son in law, Hop Mosel. Allen worked for Jodeco Body Shop for 17 years and was a member of the Henry Baptist Church. He enjoyed working and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Pat Taylor of McDonough; children, Selina Taylor of Decatur, Ken (Michele) Taylor of McDonough and Yvonne Mosel of McDonough; grandchildren, Josh Causey, Jessi Causey, Amber Taylor, Alysia Champion, Kensley Taylor, Brittany Taylor and Taylor Mosel; six great grandchildren; sister, Betty Jean Gary of Hodges, SC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 – 2:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Sizemore and Rev. Archie Norman will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to be made to the Henry Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Taylor.
