Joanna M. Hall

Joanna M. Hall, age 80 of Opelika, Alabama formerly of McDonough, Georgia passed away December 9, 2024. She was born April 28, 1944 in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley and Anna Hovanec Galiczynski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Hall, son, Jeffery Hall, brother, Carl Galiczynski. Joanna retired after 40 years with the Department of the Army. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved anything sweet, especially chocolate. She loved to watch and care for the cardinals and hummingbirds that would visit her yard. She was an amazing and caring friend and cherished her friendships and kept in touch with them. She was spicy at times and everyone enjoyed her energy. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Timothy (Tracy) Hall; grandchildren, Alexia (Ryan) Morris, Ariel Hall, Jordan Hall and Jake Hall; great grandchildren, Carsyn, Wyatt, Saylor and Charlotte Morris; brother, Stanley (Pete) Galiczynski. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 10:00 am - 10:30 am at Haisten Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow - 11:00 am at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Dean Faust officiating.
