Herbert Raymond Turner

Mr. Herbert Raymond Turner, age 91, of Locust Grove, GA passed away January 15, 2015. Mr. Turner was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Lucy Bell Leach Turner and Robert Cam Turner. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert Earl Turner and Elmer Leon Turner; and a sister, Marguerite Elizabeth Bryans. Mr. Turner enjoyed spending time with family and friends, wood working, yard work, gardening, hunting and fishing. Survivors are his wife, Annie Louise Turner of Locust Grove; children, Cecelia Ann Earnest of Locust Grove, Jack Douglas Turner (Janice) of McDonough, and Floyd Wayne Turner (Anne Dellinger) of Decatur, Raymond Michael Turner of Locust Grove and Elizabeth Lee Lassiter (Dan) of Locust Grove; 10 loving grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mr. Turner will be on Sunday, January 18, 2015 – 2:00 PM at Philippi Baptist Church in Locust Grove with Rev. Joey Seabolt officiating. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery, 4th Avenue SW, Atlanta, GA 30317. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 4 – 6:00 PM.
