George William McKinney

George William McKinney, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. George was born April 26, 1934 in Cynthiana, Kentucky to the late Russell Reed McKinney, Sr. and Anna Turner McKinney. George served his country in the United States Army and retired after 31 years with Brooklyn Union Gas Company. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and woodworking. He was preceded in death by wives, Virginia and Bernice; siblings, Russell Reed McKinney, Jr., Raymond Thomas McKinney, James E. McKinney, Betty Sue Bays, Dortha Groves, Mary Russell McKinney and Emma Margaret Phillips. Survivors include his partner in life, Betty Hills; children, Deborah Ann Rehm, Linda Jean Pizzo, Joyce Marie Pratnicki, JoAnne Kwiatkowski and David Scott McKinney; grandchildren, Amanda, Joseph, Daniel, Christina, Matthew, Lisa, William, Brianna, Christopher, Deanna, Melissa and Aidan; several great grandchildren; siblings, Charles Lewis (Minnie) McKinney, Ruth S. Phillips, Bobbie Jean (James) Baxter and Charlotte Ann Wells. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2022 - 11:00 AM in the Haisten Funeral home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Monday one hour prior to the service.
