Freida Mae Bower

She was born in Tipple West Virginia to the late Gratt & Della Duncan. In addition to her parents, Freida was greeted in Heaven by her husband Dale Bower, her sons Kenneth and Greg, her sister Norma Hurst and brother Harry Duncan.

She was a devote Christian, loving Mother and deeply loyal friend to all. She enjoyed gardening, baking and traveling. Family was everything to her. She was very active in her church, teaching children, visiting the sick and whatever needed doing. She always had a smile on her face and a heart willing to help. She became a nurse in her early 30’s and continued nursing well into her 80’s, as she said, “Taking care of her old folks”.

Freida's legacy lives on through her brother James Duncan, her daughter Robin Bower Williams, grandchildren; Stephanie Giafaglione, Gregory Bower, Joshua Williams, Brittany Williams, Courtney Bianco and Cole Williams, great grandchildren; Isabella Giafaglione, Regan Ferguson-Williams, Hunter Giafaglione, Jackson Willliams, Sofia Giafaglione, Dalton Rees and Brooks Bianco.

A visitation for Freida will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. A Funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Committal Services will follow at 2:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 722 Conley Rd, Forest Park, GA 30297.
