Charles F. Hickerson, 83, of Maysville died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Kenton Pointe Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky. He was born in May’s Lick, Kentucky on May 17, 1930 the son of the late Ollie F. Hickerson and Lida Ruth Tulley Hickerson. Mr. Hickerson was a lifetime dairy and tobacco farmer and an avid airplane enthusiast. He was a past board member for Trans Financial Bank and State National Bank. He was a past supervisor of the United States Soil Conservation Service, and a former director of the Fleming - Mason R.E.C.C. He was a former director and chairman of Federal Land Bank Association of Northeast Kentucky and a founding board member of Dairy Farmers of America, previously Milk Marketing, Inc. Mr. Hickerson served as an Army Corporal in the Military Police during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by four daughters, Linda (Michael) Stephens of Lexington, KY, Ruth Ann Jones, of Maysville, KY, Susan McGuire of Fredericktown, OH, and Karen (Jeff) Cracaft of Maysville, KY; one half brother, Gerald Hickerson of Maysville, KY; two sisters, Norma Jean Erny of Wilmore, KY and Nina Waizenhofer of Frankfort, KY; one half sister, Sue Carol Hickerson of Mt. Olivet, KY; seven grandchildren, Laura Baas, Whitney Jones, Willie and Macy Conway, Zack and Cody McGuire and Nathan Cracraft; three great-grandchildren, Emily and Mason Baas and Peyton Conway. Funeral services for Charles F. Hickerson will be held at Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 11 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2013 with Reverend Wayne Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Washington Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
