Rosemarie B. Vanni

ROSEMARIE B. VANNI (nee Catania), born March 29, 1952. Beloved wife of 34 years to the late Julian, dearest daughter of Anthony and Judith (both deceased); loving mother of Carmela Poggemeyer (John), Frank (Heather), Michael (Teresa), Robert (Loretta) and Tricia Hauber (Scott); devoted grandmother of John, Julian, Charles and Michael Poggemeyer, Frank and Gabriel, Erin Toth (Matt), Matt Vanni (Erin), Carlo Vanni, Ava and Morgan Hauber; great grandmother of Bennett and Luke Toth and Truett and Baylor Vanni; dear sister of Carmelo (Jodi), Ignatius (Mary Ann), Luis and Antonia; loving aunt, cousin, Godmother, and friend of many.

Rosemarie was a graduate of Warrensville Heights High School, Class of 1970. She was a faithful volunteer, and was PTA President and Girl Scout Troop leader at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. From those many years of service to the school and church she formed a close bond with a very special group of women, with whom she enjoyed many laughs and wonderful times together.

Her family was her top priority and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a caretaker who was there for anyone at any time. Rosemarie was an avid Indians and Browns fan and loved to play golf with her friends Faith and Diane. She enjoyed traveling to Hilton Head, Disney World and California to visit family. Rosemarie loved to cook for her family. There was always sauce on the stove on Sundays with Frank Sinatra playing in the back ground. Her home was always open to family and friends. Rosemarie’s kindness, generosity and open arms will always be a part of those she loved and touched so dearly.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday May 31 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church 8560 Mentor Ave, Mentor, OH 44060.
