Devoted and loving mother of Joseph T. Ross III (deceased) and Anthony John Ross. Dearest daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (nee Fena) Maniglia and daughter-in-law of the late Joseph T Ross and Ann F Ross (nee LaMarca). Cherished sister of Anthony R. Maniglia (Anna Marie) (both deceased) and John A Maniglia (JoAnne) (both deceased). Loving sister-in-law of Rosemarie Broz (Richard) (both deceased) and DiAnna Sumph (George, deceased). Treasured Aunt to Joseph J. Maniglia, Laura A. Oliverio (Ray, deceased), Joseph A. Maniglia, Anthony P. Maniglia, John C. Maniglia (Louise), Rick Broz (Joanne), Joe Broz (Bonnie), DeAnn Marie Dominish (Stephen), Rosemarie Mihalek (Chris) and Joseph Sumph. Precious Great Aunt of 15 and Great-Great Aunt of 7. Cousin and friend of many. Lucille was born August 19, 1944, and proudly grew up in the 110th and Woodland neighborhood. Upon graduation she started her journey as a hairdresser with her childhood friend Cookie Calo and they opened a salon in their prized neighborhood, called Nina and Marie’s. In 1965 she married Joe and looked forward to starting a family. In 1971 their precious son Joey III was born, but sadly, he passed away at 22 months old. In 1978 God blessed them with another precious son, Anthony John, and he became the absolute apple of their eye. Lucille took great pride in her Italian heritage, and it showed in all the cultural traditions she shared with her family and friends. Her devotion to all things Italian will live on in all of those who were lucky enough to be the recipient of her culinary expertise. Most notable recipes were her Cutlets, homemade Cannoli, Biscotti, and her world-famous DoDo cookies. Outside of her many baking and cooking talents she continued to work as a hairdresser, alongside her dear friends Marie and Annie, at their business Anna Marie's Beauty Salon. She was a long standing and proud member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America and Hillcrest Victory Lodge #167, where she stood as Treasurer and contributed her time and talents to many events. She was an avid sports fan for all Cleveland teams and even had a softball coaching stint back in the day, for her niece Laura’s team. She loved to gamble, travel, and just have fun with her inseparable buddy, her son Anthony. She will be deeply missed for her wit and humor and will be remembered as one of the strongest and bravest women most people have ever encountered. Her son Anthony is blessed to have such an outstanding legacy! Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Monday February 12 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd. Gates Mills, OH 44040.
