Leonard Kelly was born on July 2, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, and passed away on October 24, 2020. From an early age, Leonard showed a curiosity and a profound interest in just about how every gadget worked -- and his childhood hobbies and good nature resulted in him having a long career in the electrical, bridge & building, and airport operations departments for the City of Cleveland. Leonard was also a graduate of Cleveland State University, and successfully completed a number of other post secondary vocation and education pursuits, including becoming a Master Electrician with the IBEW, completing the American Association of Airport Executives program, and others.
Leonard was regarded by all as an extraordinarily humble, trustworthiny, and loyal person; and who always sought to help others with no return expectations in mind.
Leonard leaves behind to honor his memory: wife, Mary Kelly; step-son, RaShun Millender; mother, Abbie D. Thompson; sisters Yvette Burrucker and Maria Thompson; brothers Walter David Kelly and Roland Scott Thompson (Paula); and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. Leonard had great hope in God's promise of a resurrection as recorded at Revelation 21: 3 & 4.
Leonard's service will be held via DiCicco Funeral Home's ZOOM arrangements on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
