Matthew V. Avigliano

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Matthew V. Avigliano, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and Korean War Navy veteran, who departed this life peacefully on September 28, 2024 at the age of 88.

Matthew is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Avigliano. Together, they created a loving home filled with joy and laughter. He was a proud father to his daughter, Dawn-Marie Felicetti, married to Jeffrey Felicetti, and grandfather to their cherished children, Daniella and Dominic. Matthew also leaves behind his son, Michael Avigliano, married to Nadia, grandfather to their wonderful children Lia and Michael. He was a caring father to Charles Avigliano, married to Grace, and a loving father to Richard Morrison, married to Dawn Morrison, grandfather to their wonderful daughter Morgan.

Matthew's life was marked by his commitment to family, service, and community. His courage and dedication during the Korean War as a Navy veteran exemplified his strong character and sense of duty. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, wisdom, and kindness.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, from 6 PM to 9 PM at James Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 4, at 10 AM at Saint Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, with interment immediately following.

Matthew V. Avigliano will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
