Robin Marie Halsted (Weaver) passed away peacefully at her home on March 9th, 2024. She was the wife of Robert William Weaver. They shared 25 years together. Born in Lansing, Michigan, on December 26, 1976, she was the daughter of Asa Carlyle Halsted and Marie Ellen Baker.
She graduated from Dansville High School, where she then went on to technical school. She was a paramedic with Mercy Ambulance, a dispatcher with Mobile Medical Response, and a team leader with Morley until a car accident rendered her unable to work. She enjoyed doing craft projects, crocheting, spending time with her chickens, feeding her squirrels (Jimmy, Gary, and Garyette), and most importantly, listening to Def Leppard. She will be remembered as a kind, loving, and gentle soul who loved helping people and animals. She was a mother figure to many kids who walked through her front door.
Robin is survived by her mother, Marie (Bob) Johnson; her father, Asa (Kathy) Halsted; her husband, Bill Weaver; her children, Alex (Deleana) Weaver, Jonathon (Samantha) Weaver, and Patricia (Austin) Rios; her grandson, Bryson Weaver; her brother, Travis (Alyson) Halsted and her nieces, Angelique Halsted, Kadence Halsted, and Harper Halsted. Robin was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond Baker, Patty Baker, Ronald Osterberg, and Betty Osterberg; Uncle Archie Ammerman and his wife Joan Ammerman; as well as her two loving pets, Lucky and Nixie.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 20th, 2024, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Mason, Michigan, with interment at Maple Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on March 19th, 2024, as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of service on March 20th, 2024.
