Randy Merritt Nevins

Born September 14, 1957 passed away Wednesday April 5, 2023 at the age of 65. He was surrounded by his loving family and will be dearly missed.

Randy is survived by his wife Kathy Nevins, children Samantha Nevins, Curestin (Adam) Simons, Betsie Mans, Angel (Bill) Brown, Jordon (Kelley) Nevins, and Jessica Nevins. His grandchildren Kendall, Kalen, Landyn, Arianna, Aniyah, Alonzo, Carter, Tyson, Nevaeh, Jackson, Wyatt, and Rhett. His niece and nephew Kimberly and Bobby Evans. Adopted children Deshawn, Layla and Tyreese. Siblings Sheryl, Tammy, Tim, Todd and Kitty. As well as numerous friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Nevins, Father Meritt “Muzz” Nevins, Mother in law Helen Serrels, Brother Ron, and Son Charles.

Family was very important to Randy and Papa was his favorite role.

He spent most of his life as a mechanic and was a true auto enthusiast. He often came home with a new project car or truck and spent many of his waking hours in his garage tinkering with his most recent project.

Randy was a truly generous and loving person. He will be missed by many.

In the words of his son in law Adam, “Papa’s heart was just too big, it stopped working, and now he gets to go live in heaven, where he will always be happy.”
