Margaret Viola (Benchley) Meddaugh Ewing, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan. She was born in Clare County, Michigan on April 14, 1933 to William and Ruth (Kasino) Benchley. Throughout her life, she loved to crochet, sew, craft, bowl, and spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Louise Moorehead, William “Butch” Benchley, and Lucy Brock; her son, Eric Meddaugh and son-in-law, George Szypula.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary Smith, Thomas Meddaugh Jr., Stewart (Rose) Meddaugh, Brenda Sue Sherwood, William (Mary) Meddaugh, Andrew Meddaugh, and Trudy (Glenn Dee) McLachlan; her 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Billie Meddaugh.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11am at Leek Cemetery in Mason with a luncheon following at Alaiedon Township Hall.
