Lori Kay Normington, age 60, of Mason, Michigan passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Lori was born in Lansing, Michigan on June 26th, 1963 and was raised in Okemos, where she attended Okemos High School. Here, She found a love for sports, Specifically softball, where she played all throughout high school and went on to play for the Lansing Laurels softball team. Her love for sports was passed along to her sons. She loved watching Michigan State sports and was very involved in the Mason High School baseball program.
Lori spent her professional life in various roles within the medical field before later finding her place as an instructor for Ross Medical. She was able to affect the lives of so many people in this position. She loved teaching and loved her students, who she often kept in touch with even after graduation.
She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Grandmother. She was helpful, kind and was always available any time of the day as the support system for her family and friends. She loved spending time with her Husband and family, but more than anything she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by Jeff Normington, her devoted husband of 8 years; her beloved mother, Barbara McIntosh; sons, Mitch Ridenour, Jacob Ridenour (Alyssa), Zac Ridenour, and Josh Wenzel; step-children, Ben (Laura) Normington and Darcy (Mike) Beach; grandchildren, Hayden, Breslin and Madelyn Ridenour; seven step-grandchildren; sisters, Cheri (Walt) Nill, Teresa (Jesse) Vaughn; brother, Steve (Carla) Dick; nieces and nephews, Stacey and Kevin Nill, Jim and Joey Bock, Ella and Cameron Dick.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Dick, and stepfather John McIntosh.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Gorsline Runciman Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason.
