Larry is survived by his loving wife, Jane Ann-Wilcox Olney of 29 years; his son, Jeffrey (Jessica) Olney and step-children, John (Michelle) Bush, William, Jean Bush and Alice (David) Kieft; grandchildren, Blayne and Olivia Olney, Eric and Nancy Coppernoll, Christina, Jane Bush, Hailey French and Tiffany (Jim) Karnes; brothers, John (Sandra) Lamarr, Duane (Patricia) Olney; Aunt Doris Wolford, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara and brothers, Royce and Gerald.
Larry attended Jackson MI Public Schools, earned his Under Graduate from Eastern MI University and Masters from Western MI University. Larry retired after 32 years with the State of Michigan working in Corrections, Management and Budget, and Social Services departments. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, 2021 N. Aurelius Rd. Holt, MI on October 27, 2018. Visitation is held at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Holt where Larry served as an Ordained Elder and Deacon; or The Capital Area Humane Society.
