Born November 15, 1946, in Pontiac, died December 3, 2011 in Charlotte at the age of 65. Diana graduated from Michigan Center High School and Michigan State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. She has been a Mason resident since 1985 and a member of the Mason Community Church. Diana owned craft businesses called “Weathered by Time” and “Piggy Banks USA”. She loved to dance and teach; she owned and operated “Diana Mason Dance Studio” in Petoskey, MI and “Treece Technique”, an aerobics instruction business throughout Michigan.
Surviving are her husband Russel of 16 years; sons, Nicholas (David Martineau) Mason and Michael Mason; step-son, Michael (Melissa) Halstead; step-daughter, Melinda (Keith) Gilliland; 6 grandchildren; her parents, Alvin and Catherine Treece; sisters, Linda (Mark) Weinberg, Deborah (Robert) Lasley and brother, Nathan (Tina) Treece.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 4:00 pm at Mason Community Church, 1600 E. Columbia, Mason, with Rev. Steve Malson officiating, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. A private graveside service will held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mason. Memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI 48813 or Mason Community Church in Diana’s memory.
