Dansville, Michigan
Danford (Dan) Wayne Hall, born December 9th, 1960, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, departed this life Sunday morning after a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife Debbie and daughter Kristi, together with his parents Kenneth Leon and Martha Sue Hall, brother, Kenneth and his wife Andrea, sister Tonya, sister Marilyn and her husband Kenny, best friend Tim Towles, numerous nieces and nephews and many other friends.
He began his professional career in construction by helping to build his childhood home and then continued years later in his brother's backyard. Dan worked as a residential and commercial construction manager for over 27 years and many times seemed to work magic to get the projects in on schedule. Dan's magic also transferred over to the beautiful pieces of furniture that he constructed in his spare time and will continue to grace the homes of his family and friends.
He was an avid sportsman and had many great adventures with family and friends; fishing with his dad at 4 Mile Lake; catching the elusive big bass on Lake Lanier; Reindeer Lake where he caught his first grayling; turkey hunting in Okemos; and deer hunting ranging from up North to his own backyard. Dan was never one to miss the opening day of walleye season, being found with friends at midnight casting the line in an attempt to catch the "next big one." Dan traveled far and wide to pursue his outdoor passions and made memories in Alaska, Canada, Florida Keys and the mountains out West.
Dan loved to ride, beginning with go kart races, pitting the Towles boys against the Hall boys, races they never won but really enjoyed. His last big ride was on his Harley Davidson where he completed the Dragon's Tail with his riding companion and wife Debbie.
He will be remembered as a kind man with an easy smile and a big heart, who never hesitated to lift a hand, swing a hammer or run a saw to help those in need. He loved his family, his dogs, and the outdoors, and was happiest when he could be with all of them. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
