Roy Matthew Shirley

On February 14, 1998 Roy married his loving wife, Bonnie, in Big Bear, California.

Roy was proud of many things he accomplished in life, including a National Defense Service Medal.

He worked as Crew hauler with QM Transport for BNSF Railroad.

He also loved to help the kids work on their cars, watching 49ers football, building things and playing poker.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Juanita Shirley; his brothers, Raymond, Michael (aka Richard); his sisters, Marie, Laurie and Nancy.

Roy is survived by his wife, Bonnie as well as his brothers, Randy Shirley, Russell Shirley, Ronnie Shirley, Bobby Shirley; sisters, Terry Silgo and Dee Iliili; his two sons, Matthew (Charletta) Fries and James (Staci) Shannon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tristan (Morgan) Shannon, Austin Shannon, Cody Shannon, Cheyanne Shannon, Hailie Shannon, Troy (Alysia) Fries; his three great grandchildren, Gabriel Lopez, Gaby Lopez and Jonathan Fries as well as may nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Roy will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Ave, Marysville, WA 98270 with a BBQ to follow.
