Ken journeyed to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the presence of his wife and daughter at the family house. He was born May 31, 1924 in Hardin, Montana. After serving in the Marine Corp during WWII, he settled in Marysville, where he met his future bride, Olga Olson. They married July 11, 1947. Ken graduated from Northwest College (now University) in 1950. Ken and Olga then began their ministry as missionaries to Alaska, followed by many years pastoring in Washington state. Ken was also a welder by trade.
Ken is survived by his wife of 70 years, Olga, one daughter, Karen (Alfred) Trayler, four grandchildren, Wayne, Michael, Janet and Sarah Trayler, two great-grandchildren, Malachi and Penny Trayler, brother John (Bev) Taylor, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nora Taylor, brothers Cecil and Wayne Taylor, and sisters Melva Skaar, Maxine Bauer, LaVonne Wall, and Iris Pennock.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 1pm at the Marysville Free Methodist Church, 6715 Grove Street, Marysville. Viewing will be Friday, December 8 from 5-7pm at Schaefer Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Ave, Marysville. Burial at Marysville Cemetery Monday, December 11 at noon.
