Mely as she was known to her family and friends, has joined her Tatay Raymundo, Inang Paciencia, Brother Rudy (Joe) and her oldest son Francisco (Bobot).
Mely was born in Manila, Philippines on November 2nd, 1935. She found her calling making dresses and was a gifted seamstress.
Amalia immigrated to Seattle, WA in 1976. She held various jobs from sewing ski jackets to working in housekeeping.
She is survived by her 2 siblings, 2 sons, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
She loves us more than we ever thought possible and she always put the thoughts and needs of us in front of her own.
As she faced many trials and tribulations, she continue on with a smile.
Her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with us.
We love you when you were here, we love you now that you’re gone. May that love surround you now and bring you peace.

A a celebration of life for Amalia will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Ave, Marysville, Washington.
